We
know ageing makes us frail, can be painful and make us vulnerable
to illness, so what can Enzogenol do to change the ageing process,
keeping us young and forever healthy?
Enzogenols powerful complex of broad spectrum
flavonoid antioxidants and phenolic acids are proven to slow down
the ageing process – not just the visible signs of ageing, like fine
lines and wrinkles, but the critical hidden oxidative stress damage
that is linked to a host of age related degenerative diseases such
as arthritis, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, cognitive function
and strokes.
What Is Ageing
Ageing is the result of a build-up of damage in our cells.
It takes a while for the damage to get to a level where it harms us,
but eventually it does. The protein fibres keeping our skin and arteries
elastic go through changes that lead to loss of that vital
flexibility. The DNA inside our cells get damaged and the number of
times our cells will divide is reduced too. Ultimately, the cells'
production and energy systems fail. It is this accumulation of DNA
damage and change that can be attributed to the ageing process itself
and the associated diseases and conditions.
Why Enzogenol is Anti-ageing
Increased Lifespan
Enzogenol
has been shown to increase the life span of mice and reduce the rate
of cancer. One group received Enzogenol with their normal mouse food
for the rest of their life, the other only received the normal food.
The trial showed an 18.4% increase in longevity than the mice receiving
the Enzogenol. Transferring that to humans we could expect a median
increase in life expectancy of 96 years for women and 90 for men.
Telomeres
Enzogenol
may have a positive effect in the body by maintaining the length of
telomers while the body gets older. This effect would be highly beneficial
for every cell in the body. A current scientific theory supports that
oxidative stress is involved in the shortening of telomers throughout
the lifespan. Given the highly effective anti-oxidant actions of Enzogenol
it is not that surprising that the telomer research has found Enzogenol
to slow down the shortening of these important DNA sequences.
DNA Damage
DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) is the genetic material that controls
heredity and is located in the cell nucleus. The ongoing attack on
DNA by free radicals is thought to play a major role in the age-related
development of many diseases including cancer. DNA damage reduction
after supplementation with Enzogenol as measured by the comet assay
was considerable after 6 weeks and highly significant after just 12
weeks of supplementation.

trials with Enzogenol.
Antioxidant Power
A recent documentary, ‘How to live to 101’, showed that the longest
living people in the world all achieve a very high intake of antioxidants,
measured as over 6000 ORAC units a day. To give you an idea, an average
daily intake of antioxidants through a normal diet is a lowly 600
- 1000. Enzogenols ORAC rating is 9406 units.
