Good News for Migraine sufferers
A recent Enzogenol study found that after just 3 months supplementation,
Enzogenol reduced the debilitating effects that migraines have. Patients were
assessed using the Migraine Disability Assessment Score (MIDAS) for the 3 month
period prior to supplementation and for the three months of supplementation.

MIDAS
MIDAS assesses the overall impact that the migraine attacks have on a patients
life. This includes: days off work or school missed, days where productivity was
half or less, days where work was not done, days with household productivity
half or less, and days where social activities were missed.
Reducing Migraine in just 3 months
The frequency of migraine attacks was recorded as number of headaches for the 3
month period prior to supplementation and during the 3 month supplementation
period. Similarly, the severity of the attacks was recorded as a symptom score
on a scale from 0 to 10 for increasing severity.
The Study
The study was carried out with migraine sufferers with a long term history of
migraine and who had previously failed to respond to various pharmacological
approaches, sufferers were given high dose Enzogenol for 3 months. No adverse
events were noticed in this study. Taking high doses of Enzogenol was very well
tolerated. The results showed that Enzogenol supplementation was associated with
beneficial effects on parameters of migraine attack frequency and severity.
Results
The study showed that Enzogenol was effective in reducing the debilitating
impact of migraines, as measured by MIDAS, by over 50%. The frequency of
migraine attacks was reduced by approximately 41% and the severity decreased by
approximately 26%.
There was a significant mean improvement in MIDAS score of 50.6% for the 3-month
treatment period compared with the 3 months prior to baseline. The treatment was
also associated with significant reductions in number of headache days and
headache severity score. Mean number of headache days was reduced from 44.4 days
at baseline to 26.0 days after 3 months therapy and mean headache severity was
reduced from 7.5 of 10 to 5.5.
Conclusion
The study found that the frequency of attacks was markedly reduced. The severity
of the migraines was also found to be reduced. This data suggests that the
Enzogenol therapy used in this study may be beneficial in the treatment of
migraine oweing to reducing headache frequency and severity.
